Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Championship Returns to Pittsburgh for 50th Anniversary!

March 11th-15th, 2026 at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh

The A-10 will celebrate its 50th Anniversary in 2025-26, culminating with the championship in the Steel City where
five of the first six (1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982) A-10 Championships were held.
The championship had a five-year tenure in Pittsburgh from 1978 through 1982 at the Civic Arena, affectionately known as The Igloo.
The Atlantic 10 returned to the Three-Rivers region in 2017, with Rhode Island capturing the championship at PPG Paints Arena.
Additionally, the first league office was established in Pittsburgh in 1978.

The last time it was held in Pittsburgh, it was extremely successful in terms of attendance. We had over 40 brothers attend the tournament.
The University of Dayton was so impressed with our attendance that one of their people in charge broke out the UD credit card and bought us all a round of drinks at the hotel bar after the game.

Please try to attend this good time event. Put the dates on your calendars and we will have more details as we get them.
We will see if UD plans on blocking any rooms at the nearby hotel where most of us stayed last time. If they don't, we will try to block some ourselves.
